Ideally situated in a peaceful haven between the River Trent and River Devon, Newark Marina evolved as a family interest over 40 years ago. The passion and enthusiasm for boats which drove the development forward, from a small piece of land on a backwash to the present day 5 acre site, are still an integral part of the marina and is evident through all facets of the business.
The marina offers a tranquil setting with views over open fields and access to the famous Queens Sconce Park, yet is within walking distance of the historic town of Newark-on-Trent.
The local area
Newark is an attractive market town steeped in history. Newark Castle stands imposingly alongside the River Trent and the cobbled market place with it’s myriad of shops, restaurants and beautiful buildings await visitors.
Based on the non-tidal section of the River Trent this is a safe and secure location for boating enthusiasts with many local villages along the way. There are opportunities to cruise the picturesque rivers towards Nottingham, Lincoln and York or for the more adventurous access to coastal destinations on the east coast via Boston to the Wash and Hull to the Humber.
